Silver Ronin, aka Dewayne Mikkelson

I am Dewayne Mikkelson.

Birthplace: San Diego, California

Current Residence: South Carolina

I have been hooked on the Internet since 1992 when, during my employment at Borland International in Scotts Valley, California, I first learned about usenet, ftp, Gopher and NCSA Mosaic.

During one Christmas vacation, when I was between significant others, I spent two weeks installing my first web server, NCSA HTTPd on a SUN box that I had on my desk. I was and continue to be a web developer and have never looked back.

Who am I?
I think of myself as a seeker in my intellectual life.
I tend to see myself as a Ronin in my physical and moral life.
I hope to always be a life long learner in all areas of my life.

What do I do?
For my income producing needs I am a Web developer.
For my curiousity I am a computer geek and lover of books.
For my heart I am a husband and Bonus dad with my family.

What do I think about?
Right now I am trying to discern my future path in all areas of my life.

What matters to me? Outside of all of the previous items I am very concerned about the path that the US of A is currently following in World Politics and in Domestic politics and would love to see a huge ground swell of the People of the United States stand up and take action to reclaim the Best of the things in Democracy.

I am very concerned with US Corporations that are using Democracy/Politicians for their own Profit and Greed.

I want to have a country were my Children are free and unfettered by the debt of my parents generation and my generation and can live in a CLEAN environment.
