That website above retracted their statement, Wilson did indeed write ALMOST those exact words in “The New Freedom: A Call for the Emancipation of the Generous Energies of a People”

And so history repeats under Obama.
Look at the quote from the book , “”A great industrial nation is now controlled by its system of credit.” is from Chapter 8, Monopoly, or Opportunity, pp. 111-112. He is referring to the danger of monopolies he is not even talking about any Federal reserve. The quote “We are no longer a government by free opinion….” is from Chapter 9, Benevolence, or Justice p. 122, all from 1911 and 1912 speeches.
If you go to the original ” The New Freedom: A Call for the Emancipation of the Generous Energies of a People” and look at the chapter titled Monopoly or opportunity where the quote was pulled from it doesn’t have “I am a most unhappy man. I have unwittingly ruined my country”
